Tardy Policy

RAGSDALE TARDY POLICY

 

Students who enter class after the tardy bell are a disruption to teaching and learning. Students are expected to be in class on time.

 

Arrival

·         Bell for class rings at 9:10 and students are tardy at 9:15.

·         At 9:25am students will not be allowed access to the building without checking in at the attendance office. Teacher will receive a check-in slip from attendance for any student who arrive after 9:25am.

 

Tardy Policy

●     1^st Tardy: Warning

●     2^nd Tardy: Teacher makes home contact*

●     3^rd Tardy: Teacher home contact*/Referral/Admin Conference

●     4^th Tardy: Referral^=Block ISS (which block is choice of team)

●     5^th Tardy: Referral^= Day of ISS

 

Additional information

·         DRIVERS: 6^th unexcused tardy to school will result in the loss of Driving Pass for at least the rest of the quarter or 30 days (whichever is greater). Parking passes will not be refunded.

·         Teachers should not keep students after class without consultation of receiving teacher or admin team.

·         Students can be considered tardy twice during 3^rd block if they return late from lunch (teachers please track if student is tardy to class and from lunch)

·         Tardies will restart at end of quarter.

 

*Reminder: drivers will lose parking privilege at 6^th tardy

^Admin Team will also call for any referral
