CIEE sends students on programs over the summer to study for 3-4 weeks, as well as semester programs in the spring and fall. The summer language immersion programs are 4 weeks, and the other summer programs (arts, business, service/leadership, STEM) are 3 weeks. CIEE is a non-profit and gives scholarships to help students afford study abroad opportunities ($500 merit-based plus additional need-based adjusted for the student's income), but the scholarships do not include airfare. 

The Summer 2026 application deadline is January 21, 2026.
